Plants that do not produce "typical" flowers include: bryophytes (mosses, liverworts, hornworts) and pteridophytes (ferns). There are also gymnosperms that are not "true flowering plants", but produce cones.

some examples may include gymnosperms; in which an example of a vascular non flowering plant, would be a pine tree, since it reproduces by seeds, only its seeds are in cones.
