Bile comes from your liver and passes through a common bile duct either to be stored temporarily in your gallbladder or to pass into your intestine. If you have to have your gallbladder removed your liver just passes the bile directly into your intestine.

Bile is stored in the gallbladder and released into the small intestine when needed, especially after consuming fatty foods.

What happens when bile and fat or butter come together?

When bile and fat come together, bile helps emulsify the fat into smaller droplets, increasing the surface area for digestive enzymes to break down the fat more efficiently. This process allows for better absorption of fat-soluble nutrients in the small intestine. Butter contains fats that can be broken down in a similar manner when bile is present.

Where does bile's come from?

In most vertebrates, bile which is a greenish color is produced by the liver. Once produced by the liver, bile is stored in the gallbladder until the food being digested (at this point called chyme) enters the first part of the small intestine (called the duodenum), at which point the bile is passed into the small intestine as well.

Trace the flow of bile from the liver to the duodenum listing all of the structure that come into contact with the bile on its journey.?

The hepatocytes in the liver produce bile, which then flows through the left and right hepatic ducts to the common hepatic duct. Once the common hepatic duct is filled, the bile flows into the cystic duct and then into the gallbladder where it is stored. The gallbladder allows the bile to flow back into the cystic duct and then the common bile duct which empties into the duodenum.
