Answer

That's when an artery ruptures in the brain and causes damage. Depending on the size and location of the rupture it can be extremely serious.

A cerebral hemorrhage is where the brain starts to bleed copious amounts. The brain, or cerebrum, hold a lot of blood because it is such an important organ. When one of the vessels in the brain burst for whatever reason; be it a blow to the head or an aneurism, it fills the skull with blood.

One is a stroke: and the other is a heart attack I would like to add a note to the answer above: Technically, a thrombosis is a clot or blockage, and a coronary thrombosis is a clot affecting the heart -- but a heart attack is not the same thing, and is technically myocardial infarction. The clot usually, but does not always result in heart attack. Same with the cerebral thrombosis -- it is technically a clot that can cause a stroke. To me, the difference between a cerebral and coronary thrombosis is the location of the clot.
