No.... It don't directly effect the size of the penis. An adult male penis is the size it was destined to be, what makes it look smaller is the layers of fat around it. The penis is basically anchored at the bottom and when the fat piles up around it it makes it appear smaller. It does however get rid of the fat thus making it look longer. I am 6'3" white male and weighed 351 before my bypass, when I measured my penis when errect (laying on my back, pushing the fat back) it measures right at 6 inches which is "Normal" size for my race without pushing the fat back it measures (appears) to be 3 1/4 inches. However when measured errect while standing (where the fat falls over it rather than around your thighs when laying down) and measured without pushing any fat back, which would be the mesurement of the "Visable" penis, I measured 2 1/4 inches. Now doing the measurements the same way(s) while the penis was limp I measured 1 7/8 inches lying down and pushing the fat back and I measured - 3/4 inches while standing not pushing the fat back (I had to use a caliper with a depth guage on it to get this measurement). At the same time because of the way the body, or more specifically the scrotum, regulates the temperature of the testicles, (testicles have to be cooler than the body temperature in order to produce sperm) most obese men's scrotums are usually shriveled up because the layers of fat act as an insulator against the body's heat so the scrotum pulls the testies closer to the body to get the heat which makes the testicles look small as well. Cool ambiant tempurtures make the penis shrink (retract) as well in all men not just obese men. I have to this point now lost 100 pounds and when in an ambiant tempurter of 75 degrees my testicles hang with the scrotum fully relaxed now which they would not do before the weight loss at this temp. making them appear larger than pre-op. My penis now still measures 6 inchs when laying down and errect but I no longer have to push the fat back to take this measruement thus I appear to have a 6 inch long errect penis, a defference of 2 3/4 inches when not pushing the fat back like before. When standing and not pushing the fat back while errect my "visable" errect penis now measures 4 3/4 inches long. I still have some fat around my groin which will shrink as I lose more weight but my Doctor tells me that to get that flat look that is "normal" I will still need liposuction of the area and then of course a tummy tuck to remove the excess skin and pull things tight like they should be. Now the major change is when my penis is flacid while standing and not pushing the fat back my penis now mesures 1 1/4 inches which is a gain on 2 inches. I no longer have to push the fat back to see my flacid penis while standing. So while my penis DID NOT grow because of the gastric bypass, the loss of weight and inches of fat make my penis appear to have grown, but the biggest improvement is my self esteem. It' is amzing what a change in the way a man see's himself nude (and the ability to see "himself" nude) can do for the self esteem, although I have never had a problem with letting anybody see me nude (I've been fat since I reached puberty) I almost want people to see me nude now!!
