What is microcysts?

From what I can find, Microcysts, are caused by extended wearing of some types of contact lenses, i.e more than 1 week of continuous wear including during, sleep, because the contact lense reduces the ammount of oxygen to the cornea.The condition is reversible by having a break from contact lens wearing and possibly use of steroid eye drops for a short period, or artificial tears.
