Mitosis is the division of cells. All the cellular contents get dived up between the two daughter cells, and the DNA is duplicated and then separated into both cells, so that both daughter cells have identical copies of DNA. This is different from meiosis which is how gametes (sex cells - sperm and eggs) divide.

∙ 14y agoMitosis is a cell division which takes place in normal body cells. Mitosis produces daughter cells which are identical to the original cell. Body cells all have the same genetic information due to Mitosis. Body cells that are produced during Mitosis all need the same genetic information so that they can do the same job as the original cell. Before the cell can divide it must make new copies of the chromosomes in its nucleus. This allows for cells that are produced to have identical genetic information. Two daughter cells are formed. Mitosis is asexual cell division.

Mitosis is the process that refers to the splitting of the nucleus, in which two daughter nuclei are produced. Cytokinesis refers to the division of the membrane and cytoplasm.
No, mitosis is the process of cell division. DNA replication is only one part of this process.
Nuclear division in eukaryotic cells is called mitosis.
This process is called cell division or mitosis.
Mitosis relates to cell division because mitosis is the process in cell division where the nucleus divides into 2 nuclei.

Mitosis is the process of cell division and is completed by the cell completely dividing.

Cell division. Note: It is NOT mitosis since mitosis refers to the division of the nuclei, and not the cells.
The process of cell division by which an organism grows is mitosis.
