Mosquitoes have two major life stages-the immatures are found in water and the adults are on land. So in each habitat they provide food for different creatures. In water, they are eaten by some types of tadpoles, fish, turtles and other invertebrates. Some migratory birds may also rely on them at certain times of the year (usually these would be birds that hang out near or on bodies of water).

On land, they serve as food for some birds (swallows, perhaps some warblers), and for bats, as well as other invertebrates like dragonflies. They are not known to be the major or only food for any of these organisms at this time. But food webs are complex and there is a lot we don't know yet.
