The function of the cell membrane is to let particles in and out of the cell. If they are to big then they need to go through channel proteins. If not they can go through the cell membrane itself and in to the rest of the plant cell as a whole.
function of a nucleus is that it stores the cells DNA (hereditary material), coordinates growth and mitosis (cell division)

Structures of Nucleus:

nuclear envelope with pores, nucleolus (site of ribosome production), nucleoplasm, and chromatin (genetic material)

What kinds of proteins can be found in cell membranes?

There are two kinds of proteins in a cell membrane: peripheral PROTEINS OR trans membrane proteins. Cell membranes are able to perform various functions only because of different membrane protein functions. Most of the membrane proteins have alpha helix structure.

What is the structure that surrounds a cell and controls what enters and leaves the cell?

The structure that controls traffic to and from the cell is the plasma membrane. It is not to be confused with the cell wall, which serves more to give structure to the cell.

What are the functions for the cell membrane?

The cell membrane keeps out unwanted particles from the cell.

Outline four functions of proteins within the cell membrane?

There are four functions of proteins within the cell membrane. The four functions of proteins are active transport, cell recognition, cell communications, and are used as enzymes in the cell membrane.

Can you clearly see the membrane as a structure?

Yes, the cell membrane can be seen clearly as a structure. The cell membrane is called the plasma membrane and is a barrier between the cell and its environment.

Which cell structure controls what enters and leaves the cell?

The selective permeability of the cell membrane

What are the functions of the plasma membrane in Eukaryotes?

Plasma membrane gives structure to the cell, serve as boundary. It allows the selective passage of molecules across the cell (semi permeable). Starts the signalling event from the receptors it posses on the membrane surface when there is a stimuli bind to it.
