As microorganisms are living entities, they are studied by biologists, specifically by microbiologists. There are further divisions within microbiology, including virology and bacteriology. Many other scientists, in other subfields of Biology, however, are likely to study microorganisms as well. Structural biologists may be interested in the structure of, for example, a viral capsid, or the mechanism by which a virus injects its DNA into a host cell. Biophysicists may be interested in how a microorganism locomotively responses to stimuli such as food, heat, or salt concentration in an effort to find a superior environment. Bioengineers are looking at ways of inducing microorganisms to produce chemicals of value to humans, such as drugs or hydrocarbon fuels.
Microbiology is concerned with the study of organisms that are too small to be seen by the naked eye. These small organisms are called micro-organisms. E.g. :- bacteria, algae etc.
Histology
Micro-organisms are commonly consumed by other micro-organisms, such as bacteria and protists, as well as by larger organisms like fungi, small invertebrates, and some aquatic animals. These organisms play an important role in regulating micro-organism populations in various ecosystems.
Microscopes are important in life science because they allow scientists to observe and study the structure, function, and behavior of cells and tissues at a microscopic level. This enables researchers to make new discoveries about living organisms, diagnose diseases, and develop new treatments and technologies in fields such as biology, medicine, and genetics.
Micro-organisms that temporarily lodge on or in a host are known as commensals. These organisms do not cause harm to the host and may even provide benefits in some cases.
The word micro means "small" and bio mean "life" and loge mean "study". It is the branch of science that deals with the study of small critters such as bacteria, virus, protozoa, fungi, algae etc.
Microscope has paved the way to peep through micro-organisms. it is an essential tool for biological studies. As the advancement in science has been made, microscopes of higher resolution powers have been made. This has helped us to see what remained unseen.

They basically allowed us to observe micro organisms and started the field microbiology.
micro organisms can kill you by causing diseases
Science and Technology has done so much in enabling us to understand organisms; even the little ones--"The micro organisms". 1) The invention of microscopes has done enough in this. Through microscope we are able to learn the structure of micro organisms like bacteria, plasmodium, and cells. 2) The study of Classification and taxonomy have taught us how to arrange organisms in different groups in accordance to their similarities and differences. Through these studies, we are able to learn the characteristics of every kingdom of organisms.
Micro-organisms affect every facet of our lives. From disease to digestion, nothing we do remains unaffected by micro-organisms.
Neville John Cartwright has written: 'Studies in biological chemistry with particular reference to micro-organisms'
Pathogens are disease-causing micro-organisms, such as viruses and bacteria
