The 1953 Nature paper by James Watson and Francis Crick stated that each base pair (purine-pyrimidine pair, A-T and C-G) was held together by two hydrogen bonds.
It is now established that, while this is true for adenine-thymine (A-T), the cytosine-guanine (C-G) pairing involves three hydrogen bonds.

Francis Crick and James Watson proposed the double helix model of DNA in 1953. This model revolutionized our understanding of the structure of DNA and its role in heredity.
Possible problems or sources of error in DNA fingerprinting include contamination of samples, degradation of DNA samples, mislabeling of samples, and human error during the analysis process. These issues can lead to inaccurate results and misidentification of individuals.
Taping DNA onto large paper simulates DNA electrophoresis, a process used to separate and visualize DNA fragments based on size. By laying out the DNA fragments in a straight line, it allows for easier analysis and comparison of different DNA samples.
An error in DNA replication can be caused by factors such as DNA polymerase mistakes, damage to the DNA template, or interference from environmental factors like UV radiation or chemicals. Mutations in the DNA sequence or insufficient nucleotide precursors can also lead to errors in DNA replication.

Human error.
When an error occurs in making a copy of DNA, we call it a mutation.
