The major anatomical areas of a long bone are:
The Diaphysis - The long, slender shaft of the bone that is composed of compact bone and houses the medullary cavity.
The Epiphysis - The ends of the bone that are composed of spongy bone. This area is also the location of the growth plates.
The epiphysis is the articular end of the bone, such as the ball of the femur that inserts into your pelvic socket. The diaphysis is the main "shaft" of the long bone that contains marrow. In between the diaphysis and the epiphysis at each end is the metaphysis.
The gross apperance of a long bone consists of the ends and the shaft. The ends are called the proximal (close to the body) and distal (furthest) diaphysis. The ends are covered by articular cartilage.
The shaft is called the diaphysis. The ends contain red marrow. This marrow makes red blood cells. The shaft contains yellow marrow which stores fat.
There are coverings: The outer most is called the periosteum (meaning around bone) and the interior called the endosteum (in bone).
Marrow in the shaft is found in the medullary cavity.

I reckon the long bone are located in the legs becoz our legs are the longest body part.

Organ physiology is to cell physiology as gross anatomy is to microscopic anatomy
Gross anatomy, also called macroscopic anatomy, is the study of structures which can be examined without the use of a microscope. Therefore, it can be said that gross anatomy is based on features which are observable with the naked eye.
The best term for that would be gross anatomy.
gross anatomy is the study of the organs, parts and structures of a body visible to the naked eye while systemic anatomy is the study of a group of related structures within a particular system and the relative positions each occupies inside an animal's body
The two major groups which the topics of anatomy lie are Gross anatomy & Microscopic anatomy

Gross anatomy is everything that you can see on the outside of the body.
isnt it gross anatomy?

Bruce Proctor has written: 'Surgical anatomy of the ear and temporal bone' -- subject(s): Anatomy, Anatomy & histology, Ear, Surgical and topographical Anatomy, Temporal bone
A long, narrow and curled bone shelf which protrudes into the breathing passage of the nose is called a turbinate, or better known in anatomy as a nasal concha.
The study of human anatomy that we can see with our eyes is called gross anatomy.
