Those are lymph nodes or a blocked gland. You might want to check out if it is swollen and if it hurts when pressed on. Ask your doctor to look at it.
The gland can also get infected if you have a bad tooth at the back of your mouth on the bottom. Ask your dentist to take an X-ray.
Either way, a doctor or dentist can give you an antibiotic if needed. At home, you can help reduce the swelling if you put on the area a washcloth soaked in hot water. Hold it there for 10-15 minutes, 3 times a day.
