What is the importance of non living thing?

The ecosystem constitutes both the biotic and abiotic components to make life possible.The abiotic (non living )components are air,water,elements,rocks,soil,minerals that help in the life functions and process.

1. It helps live life easier and gives comfort.

ex. Technology, furnitures, cookwares, utensils, etc.

2. It can serve as protection from cold and warm temperatures.

ex. our clothing, hats, gloves, shoes, etc.

3. It can also serve as our habitat.

ex. houses made of wood, cement and steel.

We humans (as living things) do not entirely live in our natural habitats (valley, plains, mountains, hills, etc.). We create an environment suitable for human beings.

4. It always makes us become better thinkers, inventors and scientists of our own right by learning from our previous creations. Mostly, nonliving things are created by man depending on one's point of view.

(Note: Nonliving things do not have the following traits: breathing, feeding, excretion, reproduction, growth and development, movement and sensitivity)
