∙ 11y agoLike other organs of the lymphatic system, the tonsils act as part of the immune system to help protect against infection. In particular, they are believed to be involved in helping fight off pharyngeal and upper respiratory tract infections (in other words they help to control throat infection)
The lymphatic system organs are the spleen, the thymus, lymph nodes & lymph vessels, tonsils, and peer's patches. Any organ that is not one of these is an organ not in the lymphatic system, like the stomach, or gallbladder, or lungs.
The primary lymphoid organs in the body are the lymph nodes. This is incorrect. Primary lymphatic organs are site where stem cells divide and become immunocompetent, capable of mounting an immune response. Therefore the primary lymphatic organs are the Red bone Marrow, in flat bones and epiphyses of long bones, and in the Thymus.
The lymphatic system is a network of thin vessels that resemble small tubes or channels. It is comprised of lymphatic capillaries, larger lymphatic vessels, lymph nodes, and organs such as the spleen and thymus. The system carries a colorless fluid called lymph, which transports immune cells and helps remove waste and toxins from tissues.
Lymphnodes
What is a lymphatic system doctor called? The doctor for the lymphatic system is called an immunologist. The lymphatic system is included in the study of immunology and the key primary organs of the immune system are the bone marrow and thymus, secondary are the lymphatic tissues such as the lymph nodes, lymph vessels, spleen, adenoids, tonsils and skin.
The tonsils, thymus gland, and the spleen are all accessory organs of the lymphatic system.
tonsils
Tonsils
Tonsils
Tonsils, spleen, thymus, lymph nodes, lymphatic vessels, and lymph fluid. Lymphatic organs were boneless organs.
Thymus gland, the liver, the spleen, and the tonsils.
spleen
The spleen, the lymph nodes, and the lymphatic vessels. There are also associated lymphatic structures including gastrointestinal associated lymphatic structures such as the tonsils, vermiform appendix, and the Peyer's patches.
The simplest lymphoid organs that are found at the entrance of the pharynx are the tonsils. There are three pairs of tonsils in the human body: the palatine tonsils, located on the sides of the throat, the lingual tonsils, located at the base of the tongue, and the pharyngeal tonsils, also known as adenoids, located at the back of the nasal cavity. These tonsils help in filtering and trapping pathogens that enter the body through the mouth and nose.
The parts of the lymphatic system are:cervical lymph nodes, right lymphatic duct, thoracic lymph nodes, axillary lymph nodes, mesenteric lymph nodes,Iliac lymph nodes, inguinal lymph nodes, left lymphatic duct, heart, thoracic duct, spleen, cisterna chyli.
Some lymphatic organs are lymph nodes, tonsils, the spleen, and the thymus.
