The lymphatic system is collectively referred to as MALT. MALT stands for Mucosa Associated Lymphoid Tissue. One of their functions is to prevent the bacteria from breaching the intestinal wall.
Peyer's Patches
The tonsils are lymphoid organs that are part of the Mucosa Associated Lymphoid Tissues or MALT. They remove pathogens entering the pharynx or throat.
Both spleen and tonsils are examples of large lymphoid masses so the are included in the lymphatic system.
All of these are included in two of the human body systems:The Lymphatic System and the Immune System.Lymphatic System:Lymph nodesSpleenThymusBone marrowLymphatic vesselsLymphoid tissues in the Digestive System (e.g., lymphoid follicles, Peyer's Patch, appendix) aka MALT~Mucosal Associated Lymphoid Tissue aka GALT~Gut Associated Lymphoid Tissue.TonsilsImmune System:Lymph nodesSpleenThymusBone marrowLymphatic vesselsLymphoid tissues in the Digestive System (e.g., lymphoid follicles, Peyer's Patch, appendix) aka MALT~Mucosal Associated Lymphoid Tissue aka GALT~Gut Associated Lymphoid Tissue.TonsilsAdenoidsBlood cells ~ WBC, RBC, PlateletsAntibodiesB-CellsT-CellsSkin aka CALT~Cutaneous Associated Lymphoid Tissue)
Bone marrow is part of the body's skeletal and lymphatic organ systems. It produces lymphocytes vital to the immune system.
Peyer's patches are lymphoid follicles located in the wall of the small intestine. They are similar to the tonsils, they 1) destroy bacteria, preventing them from breaching the wall of the small intestine (which is technically "outside" the body) and entering the bloodstream. 2) the generate memory lymphocytes for long term immunity. They are a part of the collection of lymphoid tissues called MALT, mucosa-associated lymphatic tissue. Hope this helps! RN nursing student
The lymphatic system is part of the circulatory system. The lymphatic system is made up of the following Thymus Gland,Bone Marrow,Spleen,Tonsils,Skin,Adenoids,or any mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT)
Thoracic duct is a part of Lymphatic System.
No, elastin is a connective tissue and not considered a part of the lymphatic system.
Lymphatic Pathways begin when the lymphatic capillaries come out of the lymphatic vessels. Lymphatic Vessles leave to lymphnodes and act as a filter for the liquid is going through.
The thymus is part of the Lymphatic system

Appendix
Secondary lymphatic nodules associated with the nasal and oral cavities are part of the mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT). They are responsible for immune surveillance and defense against pathogens in these areas. These nodules contain lymphocytes, macrophages, and other immune cells, and their activation helps to initiate an immune response when needed.
lymph nodes
The brain and spinal column, which is collectively called the Central Nervous System.
