This is the pathway of filtration, which takes place in the nephron:

1-Glomerulus and Bowman's capsule: Filtration of water and dissolved solutes occurs as the blood is forced through the walls of glamerulus into the Bowman's capsule by fluid pressure in the capillaries ( capillary beds).

2-Proximal tubule: Selective reabsorption of nutrients from filtrate back into blood by active and passive transport.

3-Descending limb of loop of henle: This is permeable to water resulting in loss of water from filtrate by osmosis. Salt becomes concentrated in the filtrate as descending limb penetrates inner medulla of kidney.

4-Ascending limb of loop of henle: Thin segment of ascending limb of loop of henle in permeable to salt resulting in diffusion of salt out of ascending limb.

5-Distal tubule: Selective reabsorption of nutrients from blood into nephron by active transport.

6-Collecting Duct: Urine formation.

What is the path by which energy passes from one living thing to another?

Energy passes from one living thing to another through a food chain or food web. Producers, such as plants, convert sunlight into energy through photosynthesis. This energy is then consumed by herbivores, which are in turn consumed by carnivores or omnivores.

What part of the eye does light pass through?

the light travels through the conjunctiva, cornea, aques humour , pupil, the lens and the vitreous humour. it will also partially travel through the retina.

What sequence shows the correct path of urine through the excretory system?

Only using the following: bladder, calix, collecting duct, distal convoluted tubule, glomerular capsule, glomerulus, nephron loop, proximal convoluted tubule, renal artery, renal pelvis, ureter, urethra, urethral meatus.

Path of an egg cell?

The path of an egg cell begins in the ovary, where it matures into an ovum during ovulation. From there, it travels through the fallopian tube towards the uterus. If fertilization occurs by a sperm cell during its journey, the egg cell will implant in the uterus and develop into a pregnancy.

List the lenses in the light path between a specimen viewed with the compound light microscope and its image on the retina of the eye?

The lenses in the light path between a specimen and its image on the retina of the eye are the objective lens and the eyepiece lens. The objective lens is close to the specimen and gathers light from it, while the eyepiece lens is near the eye and further magnifies the image formed by the objective lens for viewing.

What is the broken path through which electricity passes?

A broken path through which electricity passes is called an open circuit. In an open circuit, the flow of electricity is interrupted, preventing the current from completing its path and causing devices not to work. It is important to repair open circuits to restore the flow of electricity.

What is formed when an electric current passes through a unbroken path of conductors?

When an electric current passes through an unbroken path of conductors, it creates a magnetic field around the conductors. The strength of the magnetic field is directly proportional to the magnitude of the current flowing through the conductors. This phenomenon is described by Ampere's law in electromagnetism.

What is femoral hernia?

There is femoral triangle, through which femoral vein, femoral artery and femoral nerve passes down to thigh. Femoral hernia passes through the femoral triangle. It passes through complicated path and is almost always very difficult to reduce. It is common in females and usually demands surgical interferences.

Does the Great Circle path from Lower Manhattan in New York City to Honolulu Hawaii pass through Canada?

It doesn't even come close. The most northern part on that path passes through northern Iowa.

Why is the ray passing through centre of curvature reflects along the same path?

When a ray of light passes through the center of curvature of a concave mirror, it reflects back along the same path because the angle of incidence is equal to the angle of reflection. This is a property of mirrors where the reflected ray follows the law of reflection, resulting in the ray retracing its original path.

What does an incident ray that passes through the vertex of a convex lens do?

An incident ray that passes through the vertex of a convex lens will continue in a straight line without being refracted. This is because the lens is thinnest at the vertex and has minimal effect on the path of light passing through this point.
