my understanding is that vascular plants are able to grow tall because of the strength and stability that the vascular tissue provides. so the tall tree in the forest would be a vascular plant
The Vascular tissues, (xylem and phloem) transport water, nutrients and starch to various parts of the plant. Xylem tubes are present in the roots, water moves into the roots through osmosis and is pulled to the leaves due to a combination of transpiration pull and capillary action. Phloem tubes bring back starch (photosynthesized product/ simple sugar) and transport it to all parts of the plant body.
A plant's vascular system consists of vascular tissue. The vascular tissue is made up of xylem (transports water) and the phloem (transports sugars and other nutrients). Another component of the vascular system is the meristems: the vascular meristem and the cork cambium, both of which are sites of growth.
It is a vascular plant. If it has roots, stems, leaves and flowers, it is a vascular plant. Mosses, algae and fungi are considered to be non-vascular.

A plants vascular system is a transport system. Vascular plants have two different types xylem and phloem. Xylem carries water and minerals up from the roots of the plant. Phloem transports sugars and organic nutrients throughout the plant.
