well as it appears to me....i believe that the structure is 1 part carbon, 2 parts hydrogen, and 1 part oxygen. :)

The internal structure consists of Micro-tubules which help support it and the cytoskeleton.

Centrioles are made up of cylindrical structures called microtubules. The are nine groups of microtubules are arranged in 9 plus 3 pattern. They are found in animal cells and help the cell to divide.

When two centrioles are next to each other they are usually found at right angles to each other. Centrioles are not well defined when there is no cell division taking place.

Function of centrioles -

In the interphase stage of cell division the centrioles replicate.

During prophase stage of cell division the centrioles move to the opposite ends of the nucleus and the mitotic spindle begins to appear. The mitotic spindle fibers are connected to the chromosomes during this stage.

During the anaphase stage the chromosomes are split and are pulled towards the centrioles.
