The elbow joint is a synovial joint and a classic hinge joint.
It has three bones, the humerus, radius (the thumb side) and the ulna (the little finger side) producing two joints:
1. Humeroradial joint -lateral articulation of capitulum of humerus with head of the radius.
2. Humeroulnar joint -medial articulation of trochlea of humerus with trochlear notch of the ulna.
Both components of the elbow joint are surrounded by single joint capsule and stabilized by collateral ligaments
Medial and lateral epicondyles are externally palpable bony landmarks.
The olecranon bursa ( a fluid filled sac ) is independent of elbow joint space. Inflammation is called olecranon bursitis.
Trauma to the ulnar nerve at the elbow results in unpleasant sensations in those fingers and part of hand supplied by the nerve ("funny bone"); severe injury may cause "wrist drop"

In normal human anatomy, three bones come together to form the elbow joint in the arm. The elbow joint is sometimes referred to as the "articulatio cubiti".
The elbow joint is a hinge joint.
The elbow is a hinge joint. The largest hinge joint is in the knee.
The elbow is a hinge joint. When you think about it, you can only bend your elbow back and forth. Think about your wrist, that's a gliding joint. It moves in a completely different way than your elbow.

Three bones form the elbow joint: the Humerus of the upper arm, and the paired Radius and Ulna of the forearm.
In normal human anatomy, three bones come together to form the elbow joint in the arm. The elbow joint is sometimes referred to as the "articulatio cubiti".
the humerus and the radius meet together to form your elbow. your elbow actually consists of a joint.
The elbow joint is a hinge joint.
Elbow joint.
Yes your elbow is a hinge joint.
The elbow is an uniaxial joint. This type is a synovial joint that permits movement around only one axis and in only one plane. The articulating ends of the bones form a hinge-shaped unity that allows only flexion and extension.
The hinge joint is located at the elbow
The joint between the shoulder and the wrist is the elbow.
The elbow is a hinge joint. The largest hinge joint is in the knee.
The shoulder is called the glenohumeral joint, and the wrist is the radiocarpal joint but the elbow is pretty much just called the elbow.
