Ova and sperm are made solely for the purpose of procreation, like how red blood cells are made solely to run through your veins.

Human ova are made from germ cells inside the ovaries.

Human sperm are started roughly the same way, originating from the male genitalia.

Sperm and ova are also the only cells in the body with X an Y chromosomes. (Ova have solely X and sperm can have either)

the sex cells are generated and reproduced in an entirely different fashion than any other cell in the body

Mature sperm and egg cells have haploid number of chromosomes, whereas body cells are diploid in number. Haploid means 1/2 number of chromosomes and diploid means full number of chromosomes.

Sperm and eggs are different other cells in your body?

Yes, sperm and egg cells each only contain half a set of chromosomes, while all other cells contain a full set of chromosomes.

How the sperm cells structure is different to other cells?

Sex cells have only half of the information unlike other cells so u don't have a exact copy

Meiosis makes what kind of cells?

Meiosis makes haploid cells that are different to each other and the parent cell. Meiosis is a type of cell division used for sexual reproduction and to create gametes.

What kind of cells does the process mitosis and meiosis make?

Meiosis cell division is where the egg and sperm cells are created. Mitosis cell division is where two identical daughter cells are formed.

What does the lymph nodes do in the immune system?

it makes sperm cells

What is the name of the process that makes sperm and egg cells?

spermatogenesis

How many sperm are inside you?

Sperm cells can be produced during the lifetime of a male. Thus, there's different amounts of sperm cells in a male's testes all the time.

How many daughters cells does mitosis and meiosis make?

Mitosis makes 2 diploid daughter cells that are identical to their parent cell, and meiosis makes 4 haploid cells that are each different from their parent cell. Haploid cells have half the number of chromosomes that regular cells do, because they are sex cells (egg and sperm).

What are the different cells in the body?

red blood cells, white blood cells, skin cells, sperm cells and egg cells

Is sperm a somatic cell?

No. Every cell is a somatic cell except for the reproductive cells (the egg and sperm). They are gametes.

What are diploid cells?

Diploid cells are cells which contain 2 sets of chromosomes, which will later be divided into two sets of 23 chromosomes for each daughter cell. The total will come up to be 46 chromosomes. The other type of cell is a haploid. A haploid is a sex cell which contains 23 chromosomes. Later when the sperm enters the egg, or the egg meets the sperm the two sets of DNA (One from the sperm, and the other from the egg) will pair up to make another cell with 46 chromosomes. Different animals have different amounts of chromosomes. I have bases this answer on human cells.
