What type of Biome is Tampa Bay?

Tampa pretty much has two seasons. There is hot and humid, and then there is humid and hot.

During the summer, there is a heavy rain and thunderstorms. Tropical storms pass through, and there are hurricane watches. When it is not pouring rain, it is usually in the mid 90s to low 100s F.

The spring is generally wet, and in the high 80s. If you live anywhere near a tree, everything will be covered in pollen. It will not be uncommon to see cars driving down the road covered in yellow dust.

In the autumn, we get some relief for a few weeks. The weather dries up a bit, and we enjoy mid 70s to low 80s. It isn't usually enough for a jacket, but it makes for nice evenings.

The winter is overall mild. We do have a few nights a year that the temp drops just below freezing. You will see everyone's yards covered in bedding, in an attempt to protect their birds of paradise, hibiscus, or whatever other warm climate landscaping they have. Most days you will only need a jacket in the early morning and the evening.
