Either:

  • prokaryotic cells,
  • red blood cells (have no nucleus as an adaptation- makes them better able to transport Oxygen)
  • or enucleated cells (cells which have had the nucleus removed, eg. before fusion in cloning)

In general, prokaryotic cells lack a true nucleus. Several types of cells in animals, however, also lack a nucleus. A good example of this is red blood cells.
