There are different red blood cells. There is only one type of white blood cell.

Correction:

Actually, there is only one type of red blood cell, however platelets and plasma are included in the red blood cell make-up. There are five different type of white blood cells and they are: Neutrophils, Eosinophils, Basophils, Lymphocytes, and Monocytes.

All five types of white blood cells help fight infection in their own way.
