The blood will bypass the pulmonary circulation and won't become oxygenated.
If the foramen ovale of the heart (there is also one in the skull) remains open (patent), blood will still be shunted between the atria and oxygen high blood will be mixed with oxygen low blood. It depends on how large the opening remains on how much effect this will cause. 10-20% of adults have this defect and show no problems.
