In adults woven bone is created after fractures or in Paget's disease. Woven bone is weaker, with a smaller number of randomly oriented collagen fibers, but forms quickly; it is for this appearance of the fibrous matrix that the bone is termed woven. It is soon replaced by lamellar bone, which is highly organized in concentric sheets with a much lower proportion of osteocytes to surrounding tissue.

After a fracture, woven bone forms initially and is gradually replaced by lamellar bone during a process known as "bony substitution."

What does woven fabric look like under a microscope?

Under a microscope, woven fabric will appear as a structured pattern of interlaced fibers. You will be able to see the individual threads crossing over and under each other to create the fabric. The weave pattern will determine the appearance and texture of the fabric when viewed closely.

Which condition is characterized by extensive bone destruction followed by abnormal bone repair?

Paget's disease. Pagetic bone with an excessively high ratio of woven to compact bone is formed, causing spotty weakness in the Bone. The cause is unknown and may be viral. The disease usually localizes in the spine, pelvis, femur and skull.

What did tissue mean in the 17th century?

How is the intramembranous bone differ from that of the endochondral bone?

Intramembranous ossification [flat bones] & endochondral ossification [long bones].The essential between them is the presence or absence of cartilaginous phase.Intramembranous ossification occurs when mesenchymal precursor cells proliferate & subsequently differentiate directly into osteoblasts w/c mineralize an immature bone tissue called woven bone, characterize by irregular bundles of randomly oriented collagen fibers & an abundance of partially calcified immature new bone called asteoid. At later stages this woven bone is progressively remodeled to mature, lamellar bone. Endochondral ossification entails the conversion of a cartilaginous template into bone.Mesenchymal cells condense & differentiate into chondrocytes w/c secrete the cartilaginous matrix. This embryonic cartilage is avascular,& during its early development,a ring of woven bone is formed by intramembranous ossification in the future mid shaft area. This calcified woven bone is then invaded by vascular tissue,& osteoclasts & osteoblasts are recruited to replace the cartilage scaffold w/ bone matrix & excavate the hematopoietic bone marrow cavity.

Hard extracellular matrix forms trabeculae?

This structure is likely bone tissue. Trabeculae are intricately woven, lattice-like structures found within cancellous bone that provide support and participate in bone metabolism. They are formed by osteoblasts and possess a unique architecture that maximizes strength while minimizing weight.

Are woven fabrics better for summer or winter?

If you're referring to temperature and breathability, woven is not necessarily cooler than knit. The breathability depends more on the type of fiber (natural fabrics versus synthetic fabrics), and less on how it is constructed (woven fabrics versus knit fabrics).Fabrics that are "cool" and breathable are:linencotton (especially seersucker)rayonlightweight woolsilkThese are all natural fabrics, and can be either woven or knit. For example, a cotton shirt could be woven (such as a button-down shirt), or knit (such as a t-shirt).And if by "cool" you mean trendy or attractive....well, that's up to you. Both woven and knit come in cool prints and colors. :)
