the hydrophobic interactions that hold the membrane together are weakest at this point.
The hydrophobic and hydrophilic effect. The nonpolar tails join together in the middle of the bilayer away from water and the polar heads that can tolerate water are on the outside of the bilayer.
The first rib is rarely fractured because of its protected position behind the clavicle (collarbone). However, if it is broken serious damage can occur to the brachial plexus of nerves and the subclavian vessels. Fractures of the first and second ribs may be more likely to be associated with head and facial injuries than other rib fractures.[1]The middle ribs are the ones most commonly fractured. Fractures usually occur from direct blows or from indirect crushing injuries.
nothing is really bad about the middle finger i mean its just a finger i can stick up my pointer finger and will i get in trouble? NO! the middle finger is not bad and should not be bad.
The bone in your middle ear called the stirrup has that name because it resembles the stirrup used when riding a horse.
The infections occur because the muscles of the palate do not open the Eustachian tubes that drain the middle ear
This is a technique used to study cell membranes. First, the cell is frozen in water or other substance. The resulting frozen sample is "fractured," or cut, with a knife. The phospholipid bilayer membrane often splits in the middle, revealing proteins embedded in the layer.
There are two membranes in a mitochondrian. One is on the outside and the other is folded in the middle which helps in production of ATP
Integral Proteins.
Once the goldfish is compleatly frozen even if in the middle of frozen water it will die because the brain heart and gills will freeze with it and they wouldn't start back up because one those are done working the fish will not live. And why would you freeze your goldfish?
Bio membranes are not visible under the light microscope because their plasma thickness is below the resolving power of the microscope. Under electron microscope bio membranes appear to be trilaminar or tripartite. There is an electron dense or dark layer on either side of middle electron transparent layer. Freeze etching technique has shown that a membrane possesses particles of different sizes.
Proteins. One type is the trans-membrane protein: it is comprised from three segments - the inner, middle and outer.
hold down the menu button and the middle.
You can't instantly tell that your finger is fractured, as with me, because right now i am suffering with a fractured middle finger. There are some symptoms assoicated with it though. In my case my finger swelled around about 2-3 times its normal size, its bruised around the area, tender around the area and in some cases it can look deformed (bent to one side) as with me. My mum took me to a minor injuries ward to get it checked out and they do some tests and send you off to x-ray, then they can confirm it. Katie (age 14) (: xxx
While no release date is scheduled, it is likely that the film "Frozen" will be released on video in middle part of 2014.
cell membranes are made of of a lipid bilayer with proteins embeded in it. A lipid bilayer is two layers of phospholipids with the polar head on the surfaces and the nonpolar hydrocarbon tails in the middle
because you dont know how thin the ice is. it might be really thin in the middle even if its thick on the outside. so if you walked on it and slipped in the middle, the ice might crack and you would be stuck in the middle of a freezing cold lake with no one around. you would either drown or cattch amnesia. dont walk or skate on frozen lakes. if you see someone fall in, don't run after them, throw them a rope or call an ambulance.
If your iPod is frozen just hold the middle and top bottom for about eh 6 seconds, or until the screen turns black/blank. Hope this fixes your problem.
