You would use low first so you can see where it is and then you would center it and make it on the edge of the pointer. Then go to medium;center the object;go to high; center then your done!!! a 7th grader
What is the function of the scanning objective on the microscope? What is the function of the scanning objective on the microscope? What is the function of the scanning objective on the microscope?
400x
its is good and magnifies mediumly
The function of the lenses of a compound microscope is that they help you see better and more detailed at the object. And also, the field of view is ten times greater than the magnification so you can see even better.
For course focusing the primary stage is used.
Scanning Electronic microscope
The magnification of the objective lens is 10x. The magnification of the scanning lens is 4x. Therefore if you are viewing an object under scanning power, the total magnification is 40x.

it is 50 on my microscope.............................
Yes. 4x - low power magnification is best for scanning objects under a microscope. Why? I honestly don't know but will guess; medium and high power are based off the setting of low power - you don't use coarse adjustment knob for medium and high only fine detail because the coarse is already adjusteded from low.

On a the microscope I use, the ocular (eyepiece) has a magnification power of 10x. The 'low' (or 'scanning') objective lens is 4x, the 'medium' has a power of 10x, and the 'high' has a power of 40x. Multiply the ocular by the lens you're using to get your 'total magnification.' TIP: Only use the coarse adjustment knob while on 'low' power, then use the fine adjustment. Why? If you use the coarse adjustment knob on 'medium' or 'high,' there's a good chance you'll crack your slide. -BugCrunch
