Actually, the amoebae uses it outer cell membrane. It arranges it's microtubles into an extension into the membrane that pushes it out into the arm called the pseudopodia ( the term you need ). Then it just pulls itself along after the extended pseudopodia.
Another answer could be a pseudopod.
Pseudopods. They are used for motility
Pseudopodium
Amoeba have special vacuoles that fill up with water, then moves outside of the cell and bursts. The concentration of water outside the amoeba is higher than inside the cell, because the vacuole contains mineral salts. So the concentration of water inside the vacuole is low. Therefore water molecules move from outside of the cell into the vacuole due to osmosis. Then when the vacuole becomes full it goes outside of the cell and bursts. A new vacuole is then made.
The nucleus in an Amoeba controls everything that goes on in th cell. It is the brain of the cell.
A hypertonic environment for a cell is created when the solution outside of the cell is hypertonic in comparison to the cytoplasm of the cell. The amoeba has more dissolved solute than the cytoplasm of the cell. In this situation, water is in higher concentration inside the cell and will move, by osmosis, to the outside in an attempt to equalize the concentrations. Water leaving the cell will cause shrinkage of the cell and a loss of mass. Thus, it shrinks not bursts.
biotic means something that is living. amoeba is a unicellular organism. every living being is made up of a cell. amoeba is living as it has a cell which performs functions. thus amoeba is a biotic component
an amoeba cell is a cell that contains a pseudopod
amoeba's the single cell organism's are not harmful to humans. Matter of fact you most likely have Millions of amoeba and other single cell organisms living around and inside you at all times. And by the way you spelled amoeba wrong. NOTE TO USER WHO ANSWERED^^^^: You can spell Ameba or Amoeba either way. Ameoba is the common way to spell it.
YES. "Pseudopod" means "fake feet". It is an extension of the amoeba's cell membrane and cytoplasm that not only moves the amoeba, but also encircles and engulfs food and liquid.
Most are harmless. A few can become parasites. amoeba's the single cell organism's are not harmful to humans. Matter of fact you most likely have Millions of amoeba and other single cell organisms living around and inside you at all times. And by the way you spelled amoeba wrong.
amoeba is cell not a organism.
cells are in a amoeba
yes amoeba is a variable shape cell
there are only one cell in amoeba
No Amoeba is not prokaryotic , it is Protist .
no. an amoeba cell is a unicellular organism, which means that it is only made up of one cell
yes,but it is an unicellular organisms it has only one cell.
Cytoplasm moves because it has to transport all the materials inside the cell and in some protozoans it is even necessary for movement of whole cell such as Amoeba.
eukaryote
