There are several examples where environment influences gene expression.. For example, the freguency of an albino being born is 1 in 20,000, but in Hopi village for example, the frequency is 1 in 200. This is because they favour the trait by having consanguinous marriages often and hence the frequency increases. In another example, two flowers may have the same genetic make-up, but one may be blue and one maybe pink due to the difference in pH they can tolerate. The blue flower maybe blue due to low pH and the pink flower maybe pink due to high pH. The most common example however is when two monozygous twins (twins having the same genetic make up and also the same features) live in different environments, there will be remarkable difference in the two and you can tell just by looking at them. Thus, it is now only genes that decide how we look and act but also the environment that plays an equally important role in determining gene expression. Hope ur clear about it now.. cheers!
some environmental factors that can influence gene expression
some environmental factors that can influence gene expression are the temperature, nutrition, light, chemical, and infectious agents.
The expression of genes in an organism can be influenced by the environment, including the external world in which the organism is located or develops, as well as the organism's internal world, which includes such factors as its hormones and metabolism. One major internal environmental influence that affects gene expression is gender, as is the case with sex-influenced and sex-limited traits. Similarly, drugs, chemicals, temperature, and light are among the external environmental factors that can determine which genes are turned on and off, thereby influencing the way an organism develops and functions.
The environment can effect your genes in many different ways. Organisms tend to adapt to their environmental conditions. For example a siamese or himalayan cat or rabbit has adapted their phenotype due to the condition they came from. The tips of a siamese cat are dark because they keep that part of the body warmer. The torso has more insulation (fat) so it is lighter in color. (obviously this is because darker colrs draw more heat in) If you think about it... what part of your body gets cold first?.... Your nose, hands, feet etc.

Because certain mutations can take place because of environmental changes
For example: The sex of sea turtles relies on the temperature of the environment. In cooler temperatures the egg matures to a male, in warmer temperatures the egg matures into a female.

The environment.
Genes and environment are the two main factors that work together to affect an organism's phenotype.
Natural selection acts on the way organisms interact with one another and with their environment. The genes of organisms are not usually themselves involved in this interaction: they direct it through intermediaries such as proteins. So natural selection must work through these intermediaries to affect genes.
yes it can affect the coding of genes.

There are many genes that could affect a person's weight. This is accomplished by suppressing certain fat burning genes in the body.
