Off course plant need glucose therefore it is synthesized and stored in various parts of the plant. Basically glucose is used for the production of energy by its oxidation to yield ATP an energy currency in the living system.

No, only if there isn´t enough sunlight during night time because they use photosynthesis (converts CO2(carbon dioxide) and H2O (water) into glucose (sugar) and oxygen) IF there is enough sunligt, if not, during night, it uses respiration to make energy (the same but backwards, so it converts Oxygen and glucose into CO2 and water)

Photosynthesis is the process by which plants produce the sugars used as food. Three pieces are needed: Carbon dioxide and water as ingredients, and sunlight as energy.
