All living cells require foor and oxygen. Single celled organisms can get these directly from their environment by diffusion. When there are lots of other cells surrounding it diffusion from the environmens it too slow and inefficient meaning the cells wont get the nutrients they need or dispose of their toxic waste products and so they will die. Humans are very large structures and hever a very small proportion of its cells are in direct contact with the environment meaning they should not be getting enough nutrients or getting rid of their wate and we should be dying. This is where the circulatory system comes in. By going no each and every cell it makes sure they are gatting everything they need as well as removing harmfull waste.
