All the cells in the human body naturally produce waste products due to normal cellular processes, these waste products could accumulate in the blood and body if they were not removed through filtration.

Blood circulates to carry food nutrients and oxygen to the cells of the body, to allow them to grow, reproduce, and function. If the blood did not circulate, the cells would simply die off.
