Mold needs moisture, heat, and food. All three conditions are necessary for it to grow. Mold is most likely to find a place to grow in a bathroom, basement or kitchen, but in this situation we are in a kitchen, and outdoors. Mold spores can grow and spread in wet or damp areas that have had flooding. and the light will either dry out the mold and eventually kill it.
