ATP is the energy currency of the cell. It provide energy to various metabolic (nucleic acids, proteins) reactions upon ATP hydrolysis and phosphrylate the proteins to carry out their function (eg: ion pumps).

∙ 11y agoThrough cellular respiration, living organisms produce useable energy in the form of ATP. When ATP is broken down, energy that is released can be used for various cell functions and everyday physical activities.

∙ 11y agoATP (Adenosine TriphosPhate) is basically the way living organisms transfer and use energy. Whether its via photosynthesis or via metabolism in mammals use there energy source to produce ATP. When the organism needs the energy it looses a phosphate which releases the energy and becomes ADP (Adenosine DiPhosphate). Then through photosynthesis, metobolism, etc. the ADP will be turned back into ATP so the process can start all over again.

∙ 14y agoThe "TP" stands for Triphosphate. In ATP there are three phosphate molecules connected and the third one is a very high energy bond which can be used to fuel cell processes.
Cellular respiration is the production of ATP but, you must use ATP to have cellular respiration. During cellular respiration you use 2 ATP molecules and can make a small amount of ATP (with out oxygen) or you can make a larger amount (with oxygen)

well atp is used and needed by all living organisms and adp is a component that forms it.I dont know how much that helps but i hope it does :)
Living things respire because the Krebbs cycle is an important means of making ATP available to power biological processes.
ATP is adenosine triphosphate. ATP has the amino acid anenosine and a tail of three phosphate functional groups. ATP is the main source of energy for living organisms. It is important to the metabolism and all other systems because when one of the three phosphate groups break off energy is realeased. ATP is the fuel for living organisms.
Phosphorus is an element of ATP, the energy molecule of living organisms, hence it is important in metabolic activities. Phosphorous is also a component of nucleic acids.
