fire does not have cells, which is the first sign of a living organism. Trees and animals have cells, even living bacterias. Although fire needs oxygen to burn, it doesn't mean it is living. An Example of this is a tree which produces oxygen using both oxygen and carbon dioxide. A fire can show qualities of an animal as they too use oxygen and produce carbon dioxide, fire does the same. But it still has no body to support a structured cell system. It is merely a natural occurance that is produced by burning of oxygens in the air,dead cells of trees.
