Stomata are present in between guard cells of green leaves.
"Stoma" comes from Greek, meaning: mouth. It usually indicates openings, sometimes other than mouths. A stoma is a surgically created opening on the abdomen which allows stool or urine to exit the body. Stoma is also the name for small openings on the underside of leaves that facilitate transpiration.

control the size of the openings called stoma the stoma allow gases such as carbon dioxide and oxygen to move into and out of the leaf
It's actually the guard cells. Water vapor does go through it, though.
The stomata closes duirng the night when there is no light, this is because photosynthesis only takes place during the light and that is when the stoma is open , to let in carbon dioxide for photosynthesis. Otherwise it is closed. =D hope this helps
There are two guard cells on each stomate. They can open and close the pathway.
