Yes, it totally can. I have some back problems, PARS fracture, tucked pelvis and some scoilosis. I've found that just a small amount of valium, 2.5 to be exact, works wonders. Of course, I combine that with a daily swimming routine, daily stretching routine and a light bike ride 3 days a week. If you don't have movement in your hips and lower back, all the valium in the world will not help. In my opinion, that small bit of valium helps relax the nerves, which is what usually is getting pinched when you have sciatica pain.
