Any doctor should respond positively to a request to be shown how to apply a condom. You should probably take a banana (seriously) with you so the doctor can show you how to practice using a banana.
Also, Planned Parenthood Clinics or clinics that check for STDs would definitely do a one-on-one teaching session, again using a banana if you bring it with you.
In case you do not get a positive response, the basic steps are:
1. Have several condoms in case the first try doesn't go on right.
Twist the foil and rip the foil across one end to reveal the condom.
2. Take the condom out, but do NOT unroll it.
3. Every condom has a long tip -- that is where the semen will collect. Pull the longer tip portion out, but leave the condom rolled up. NOTE: The "roll" should be to the outside, not inside, so if you pull the tip to the wrong side you'll need to reverse it.
4. With the penis hard / erect, place the tip of the condom over the head of the penis, leaving that tip area loose and extending a little past the head of the penis.
5. Begin to gently roll the condom over the head of the penis, with your thumb on one side and your index finger on the other side. Lubricated condoms or those coated to prevent pregnancy are slippery. So keep your fingers on both sides, above the rolled section.
6. Once you've gotten over the head of the penis, simply roll downward. You may want to use your hands on both sides at the base of the penis to brush aside hair so it won't get caught.
7. Unroll the condom ALL the way down the shaft of the penis.
8. If the condom is too loose, you may not be fully erect. Or, you may need to look for a different brand that fits better.
** If loose, you may need to keep a hand at the base of the penis. It won't allow for deep penetration, but it's better than losing the condom.
***Leave the condom on while you get more erect.
9. After intercourse, roll the condom back down the penis. Have a tissue ready; place the tissue over the end of the condom and pull it off while wrapping it into the tissue.
10. Remember to clean up, wash off.
11. If you have any skin reactions, you may be allergic to the spermicide, to the lubricant, or allergic to latex condoms. See a doctor.
