Research has shown that honeybee workers have a lifespan determined by the distance they fly: each worker can fly about 188 miles before it dies. Typically, they will fly this distance in about six weeks; however, they can live up to eleven months if they are confined to prevent flying. During heavy nectar flows, they can work themselves to death in about four days. A honeybee queen can lay up to 2000 eggs (more than her bodyweight) per day.

If this is busy, then yes, honeybees are busy!
