There are many ideologies that have been constructed through various cultures, traditions, myths and superstitions. These notions have mislead many to believe that peacock feathers are harmful in Islamic terms.

It is permissible for you to keep peacock feathers in your house and there is no evidence - as far as we know - that this is not good.

Claiming that it brings sadness and problems in the house is an unfounded claim, and this is a superstition of the pre-Islamic era of ignorance. There is no Hadith or Text in the Quran the condemns them in anyway.
