Yes, I see them frequently throughout the Spring and Fall when they are migrating. I think (but don't quote me on this) that the variety of gulls we see in Kansas is the Lesser Black-Backed Gull (Larus fuscus), altho I haven't verified that yet. If I find out different, I'll come back and correct this answer.
