Fuzzy Kiwis, which are like the ones you buy in the supermarket generally require zone 7. However, there are many varieties of smooth skinned kiwis (which are like cherries almost in size, but taste just like the fuzzy varieties) are very easily grown in zone KY Zone 6. Some varieties are actually native to Siberia, and are hardy down to zone 4 (or lower).
You will also need a Male and Female plant. Plant the Male off to the side of the fruit producing Female vine and you'll have great results.
A word of warning though is a lot of Kiwi plants will get Really Big. The owner of Raintree Nursery said in an interview he had to move one of his plants because he planted it close to his house, and the vines started growing into his shingles.
You will need to trellis the vines and be prepared to harvest about 100 lbs of fruit a year! They don't have many problems with disease or pest either. Most will take about two years to start producing though.

Kiwi do live with other kiwi. Kiwi are monogamous birds that can stay together for up to thirty years. However, they do not live with other kiwi. Although there are kiwi populations in areas, pairs of kiwi do not live with others, but establish a clear territory of their own. After mating, the female lays an egg and the male incubates it, but the young chicks leave their parents' territory when they are 4-6 weeks old (except in the case of the Southern tokoeka, which may stay with its parents for 4-5 years).
