We are watching pelicans diving out on the Capistrano Beach ocean. Almost each pelican has its own seagull. The pelican dives for food and the seagull lands nearby. We cannot see why that is. Any answers?

many birds live by the sea such as the gulls we all know and love, to the plovers that are not so well know to the none birder, but are very well know by people that show a little interest. you also have birds like lapwings, puffins sand pipers, egrets and lots of other birds. hope this is what you were looking for :) harry
