Do cuckoo bees sting

i don't think so but i'm not exactly sure. i caught one for a bug collection so i've done a bit of research on them. the one i caught has the biggest stinger i've ever seen! :/ hope this helped

No they actually use a type of mimicry called Batesian Mimicry to fool it's predators and keep themselves alive. When they fool predators the predators believe the species is venomous. It happened to our girl scout troop once when we were camping. When we came home later we found out that the bees were actually very harmless.

Edit: I have to respectfully disagree. Firstly the term "Cuckoo bee" seems to refer to a whole host of insects so what I say next may only apply to some species and possibly even just to the males or females of some species.

I found a cuckoo bee in our pool at home. I tried to rescue it and was thanked by being stung reasonably painfully on my finger. So they CAN sting. I released the bee nonetheless and it promptly flew into spider web and when I checked on it later, it had been dragged into a recess behind the web for dinner no doubt. Karma!

A cuckoo wasp does not sting people. Cuckoo wasps do bite people when they feel threatened, but are normally pretty docile.
