There are different types of bird feeders. Some are fly through, which means it is open and the birds fly into it and eat. Then there are perch type bird feeders where the birds sit on perches and eat. There are also weight sensitive bird feeders where you can set the weight you want. If a bird is big, the openings in the bird feeder closes, keeping them out of the food. There are also squirrel-proof bird feeders which keep the squirrels out of your wild bird feed.
Some animals that eat jack pine include black bears, red squirrels, porcupines, and various bird species such as crossbills and pine warblers. These animals rely on the seeds, buds, and inner bark of the jack pine as a food source.

Stanfod doesn't have a mascot. Stanford's mascot is the Stanford Cardinal, but instead of an actual bird it is a pine tree. As a proud alum of Stanford im still not entirely sure of the meaning of the Cardinal and the pine tree. But back to stanfod... come on.
