The lamagier is technically a vulture, simply because it does not hunt living prey. The unique feature of the lamagiers feeding behaviour is that, instead of consuming the flesh of a carcass, it eats bones. It does this by clutching a whole bone in its talons and flying it high above a favourite rocky outcrop, when sufficient altitude is reached the bird releases the bone from its grip and lets it smash against the rocks below. Then all that is left is to decend and consume the pieces of shattered bone. In orger to digest the bone fragment the lamagiers stomach is filled with acid that even stronger than that of a car battery.

Does a eagle get energy by eating a rabbit?

Yes, an eagle gets energy by eating a rabbit. When the eagle consumes the rabbit, it breaks down the rabbit's tissues during digestion, releasing stored energy in the form of nutrients. This energy is then used by the eagle for various activities, such as flying, hunting, and maintaining its bodily functions. Thus, the eagle relies on the rabbit as a source of energy in its food chain.
