How are parrots cared for when they are born?

The mother parrot (and sometimes the father) regurgitates food for the young chicks so they can digest it. Regurgitation means that previously swallowed food is returned up the bird's throat, partially digested, and then fed to the roung chicks which cannot eat hard seed.
