To survive, an owl requires shelter and food. Both of these are easily available in the city. One might imagine that life in a concrete nook might be undesirable, but compare it to finding a hole in a tree...

As for food, owls are hunter-killers. Mice and other small rodents are prevalent in our cities. Whilst not as prevalent as in the countryside, although this is arguable, they must surely be just as easy to find, if not more so - set against a stark, concrete background.

Why wouldn't owls be able to survive in a well-nooked, pest-populated, dark and high city?
