From Londer93.... Hi, I'm trying to convince my parents to get me a budgie (i have already convinced my dad but my mum thinks I'll just get bored of it). I've tried everything I can think of like research, showing them I'm responsible by taking my dog out for walks, feeding my cat and letting him out and in, I also looked at cages and found one that was perfect and cheap enough for me to afford with my money (but my brother spent £300 on Lego for this Christmas and I've spent £170 on a phone so I have about £130 so I don't really need to use much of my money) but nothing works!! All I need to do is somehow convince my mum I wont get bored of it. Don't keep begging just mention it every now and then just to let them know you still would like one, save money and resist the temptation of other things (I bought knee high converses but I did have amount £100 and they were only £17), show them pictures of budgie's (I showed my mum one last night and she thought it was adorable!), how them where you put its cage and be ready to answer any questions they will through at you.
