If it smells that means it is dead..But if it doesnt then its good,Also you can pick it up and hold it up to a light or candal and if it has brown spots inside of it..It is alive..if it doesnt then its not...But reamber be quick and gentle when you pick it up..and you must keep it warm..not to warm though
The pigeon sits on the egg to keep it warm and protected from prey.
The Pigeon Egg Strategy was created in 1998.
When the pigeon in question is dead it will show the usual symptoms of being dead, not alive, including:The inability to move, or think. The pigeon will not be breathing. The pigeon will not have a pulse if you try to listen to its heart beat.
The eggs of the pigeon are pigeon from the start, and are only pigeon.
Pigeon chicks hatch from eggs.
you cannot save a abandoned pigeon egg because it would rot and the pigeon will have no balls when it grows up, so don't save it
no, yes it just wont be fetrilized

Hi, I usually incubate and hatch chicken eggs, but at the moment have a Ebden goose egg in the incbator with my chickens eggs. I am not 100% sure ,but I would assume that a developing gosling in an egg is similar to that of a chicken egg. To tell if the gosling is still alive or not,use a very bright lumin flashlight to candle the egg. Make sure you do it in a very dark room. Depending on how long the egg has been incubating, you should see a dark mass inside of it. There should be movement. Oh yes, I almost forgot to mention...when candling the egg, place the flashlight on the biggest end and make sure that only the egg receives the light of it(not shining through your fingers etc). If your gosling is alive inside of the egg, it is amazing to watch(sometimes catching a glimpse of a foot or beak). Keep in mind, it takes 28-30 days for a goose egg to hatch. Good Luck !!!! Carrie
